Shanghai Shengshan Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. has two factories specializing in the production of acetophenone. The Jiangxi factory, Yujiang County Changsheng Chemical Co., Ltd., produces acetophenone through phenol-acetone tar extraction, with 1,500/year. Additionally, it produces 1,000MT/year of p-cumylphenol through tar extraction, with α-methyl styrene as a by-product. The Henan factory, Fengqiu Tongli Chemical Co., Ltd., produces acetophenone through ethylbenzene oxidation, with 2000MT/year.

The two factories operate in a collaborative manner, with the total annual production capacity of Acetophenone reaching 3,500 tons. They also produce related products such as p-cresyl phenol. The large-scale production ensures stable supply.
The factory in Jiangxi uses the tar extraction method, while the factory in Henan employs the ethylbenzene oxidation method. Both production routes are carried out concurrently, taking into account both cost and product quality, and are suitable for different requirements.
